Mode and Location
All learning will be on online platforms, until the pandemic abates, or in case professors might want to offer regional courses in in-person or hybrid settings. Our classrooms and studios, in-person or online, will be small. All engagements are live, and pedagogy is central to our work — we don’t deliver content, but work to create and sustain relations central to the acts of producing knowledge and lifeworlds. This node of GCAS is truly decentred and multisite, and will feature intensive residencies in different locations. We will keep you posted!
Accreditation
GCAS Dublin and GCAS-Jəhān jointly offer the Certificate and Diploma programmes. These are not accredited by any accrediting authority, but affirmed and vouched by a community of scholars and practitoners. This community legitimation is an essential part of the mode of institutionality and authorization we hold dear.
The inaugural MA programme in MAD Studies is seeking to be accredited in the EU by 2023, to join a number of GCAS degree programmes at the master’s level. Others should hopefully follow.

Financial Aid
GCAS is committed to providing the highest quality education at the lowest possible cost. As part of the GCAS network, GCAS-Jəhān is committed to creating a community of courageous and transformative learners, researchers, and practitioners that is truly egalitarian, and tries to undo the effects of capital and colony on the production of knowledge and possibility.
Following the commitment of GCAS, these are the ways in which this is made possible:
- Low tuition, even in the context of the Global North.
- Tuition adjusted by cost of living in different regions — especially geared toward enabling students from marginalized communities and the Global South — so far as it allows for fair compensation for faculty who are also subject to the same economic injustice (and allowing for basic sustainability of the institution being built on zero capital and unpaid labours of dedication and love).
- All students receive tuition remission support and scholarship in accordance with their financial ability and geographical location.
- All tuition, upon negotiation with GCAS College, Dublin, and the choice of the student, may be converted into an investment in GCAS or one of its specified nodes after a student graduates (does not include filing fees of 250€).
- In conversation with GCAS College, Dublin, students enrolled in undergraduate and post-baccalaureate Certificate or Master’s programmes with GCAS-Jəhān may earn GCAS Crypto, “GCA$¥ tokens”, which can be applied to pay down tuition. The student may also earn GCA$¥ tokens by completing tasks that help grow GCAS and Jəhān. GCA$¥ tokens can be applied to pay down a student’s tuition.
- Flexible payment schedules.
- GCAS stands against debt for a high quality education. Our tuition costs are set in such a way that a student should be able complete their studies with GCAS without having to go into debt if one is employed or has some financial support.
- A detailed conversation about your financial situation will happen once you are admitted. Should a student not be employed or have other supports, they may enter into an agreement with GCAS College about how they pay for tuition and under what conditions. We are committed to providing students with as much financial resources as possible, without exploiting our workers.
- A student who completes all of the certificate or degree requirements will not receive the degree, or ownership value, until they have fulfilled their financial agreement with GCAS.
- We work with you diligently to bring your tuition down as much as possible so you can be part of the Jəhān and GCAS global community.
